Full bespoke service is offered by us for your every special event and occasion, like race day, christenings, special anniversaries and, of course, weddings.

Our couture consultation service includes:

  • First consultation free
  • Colour matching
  • Sizing and 
  • Fitting

Note that to ensure you have a hat in time for Ascot or your special event, I advise that you plan ahead and get in touch early to avoid disappointment.

 

How

You are welcome to our couture millinery studio where we offer an initial 45-60 minutes long consultation completely FREE. This initial couture consultation session should give us time to discuss your very specific needs and get know you.

We encourage our customers to indulge themselves whilst at our couture millinery studio to try on different styles of hats.

We will discuss, your taste, size, hairstyle for the planned event/day, and more importantly the matching of colors and fabrics involved - thus we encourage our customer to bring swatches of fabrics or the actual outfit or photos of the bouquet if you are the bride to be, accessories et cetera. We take great pleasure in understanding the over all picture of the event or requirements.

Please note:

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required, when the final design is agreed on, and then we will begin working on your hat.Progress updates will be provided with pictures throughout and you may be requested on our studio to make adjustments and again when the finished hat's pictures are shared. We will then ship the hat upon your approval and payment of balance and shipping costs.
  • Once a design has been agreed upon, we will not entertain any new changes to the originally agreed design (which includes all aspects and components of the hat)

Time-frames:
Each hat at Maria Carmen Millinery is handmade, this dedicated process takes between 2 to 7 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design, materials and fabrics involved and their availability.
